[S] Kennari: Get to Work


Everyone watches as Kennari pulls out a small stone tablet, offering it to Stella. Stella puts her hand on it and magic swirls around her, entering her soul. In a painful process, the star begins to extract from her very being, casting darkness from its core and bathing the room in shadows of light. Stella clenches her teeth against the pain, the kids block their eyes against the wind, and Kennari watches intently to make sure nothing goes wrong. The star grows larger, pulls harder, Stella is consumed, and then it's done. A star floats down into Kennari's hand, shrinking as it descends. Kennari hands it off to Reese, and Reese stares into its being. Cut to black, and a moment later, text overlays the screen. It reads, 'Where witches hide in cities, heaven fears / their magic might destroy the firmament / and call the stars upon the earth to bring / the rapture.
